Holiday Decorating tips:

1.) Safety First! For a live tree, spray fire retardant on it before putting any lights on the tree as well as making sure to water it regularly. This will decrease the risk of your tree catching fire this holiday season. Be sure to tape over outlets that are outdoors to prevent rain or snow damage.

2.) Choose two to three colors for your holiday palette and keep it consistent. Multiple color palettes can be too distracting. Try silver, blue and white or red, gold and brown.

3.) Give your space a different look and feel for this special time of year. Rearrange your furniture so the focal point is the fireplace or wherever you hang stockings. If you don’t have a fireplace, arrange the furniture to create the best layout for cozy conversations.

4.) Bring the holiday celebration into every room. Kitchens and bathrooms are a great place to put scented candles and smaller seasonal knickknacks.

5.) Have fun! ‘Tis the season for love, family and friends. Make your own decorations one night with family or friends to get into the spirit!
